  1. When it came to doing something for Peterborough Celebrates the 900th Anniversary of Peterborough Cathedral, the Nene Valley Railway thought that they had better do something really spectacular.  

    With the theme being '900' the Railway thought... Why not give away 900 free rides?!
     
    In March the railway will be doing just that, throwing open the carriage doors as part of their open weekend on 17th and 18th March. 
     
    Those visiting the Railway's Wansford headquarters will be entitled to free entry to the site plus free ride on the shuttle service to Yarwell station and back.
     
    There will also be free behind the scenes tours of the Loco sheds and signal box and along the Line Overton station (For Ferry Meadows will be throwing its doors open too.
    It's going to be a fun weekend with plenty for everbody to do

  2. Les Petits Theatre Company bring Captain Flinn And The Pirate Dinosaurs 2: The Magic Cutlass to The Core at Corby Cube, Wednesday 14 and Thursday 15 February

    When Flinn, Pearl and Tom are in the middle of their school play their old nemesis, Mr T the T-Rex, appears and kidnaps the children, forcing them to hunt for the secretive Magic Cutlass; a sword that grants the holder any wish!  

    Will fearless Flinn be able to outwit the pirate dinosaurs?  Will Pirate Pearl be brave enough to battle the dangerous dinos and will terrified Tom be back in time for Tea? 

    It's all aboard, me hearties, for a non-stop action packed pirate adventure! Audiences will be whisked away for another fantastic adventure to a world of devious dinosaurs, deep sea dangers and smelly sausages!

    Les Petits Theatre Company return to the high seas after their hugely successful shows, David Walliams’ The First Hippo on the Moon and Captain Flinn and the Pirate Dinosaurs.

    The Magic Cutlass is the hugely anticipated sequel based on the award-winning book by Giles Andreae and Russell Ayto. It is being brought to life with live music and puppetry by exciting children’s theatre company, Les Petits, who are the team behind internationally acclaimed theatre company, Les Enfants Terribles (Alice’s Adventures Underground).

    Captain Flinn And The Pirate Dinosaurs 2: The Magic Cutlasscomes to The Core on Wednesday 14 and Thursday 15 February. Performances are at 1.30pm and 4.30pm on Wednesday and 11am and 2pm on Thursday. This performance in recommended for families with children aged three and over.
